Cindy Felso, Ed.D.
Cindy Felso has been fascinated with learning for as long as she can remember, starting with her earliest efforts at wrangling her little brother into impromptu lessons. With over 30 years of teaching experience, including 25 years spent in home education (including home educating her own five kids), she is an enthusiastic advocate for home education and loves telling anyone who will listen about all of its amazing possibilities.
Cindy remembers well the early days of homeschooling her children, and the questions that plagued her. Am I doing all I need to? Will my kids be able to get into good colleges? Will it be okay if they don’t even go to college? Thankfully, those questions were put to rest over time. What a sigh of relief when her first two were accepted to many colleges – including Emory, Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt, and M.I.T. – with transcripts and supporting documents she had created. What an even bigger sigh of relief to see all of her children grown and succeeding – whether they chose college or not.
So Cindy started cheerleading along with teaching, cheering on other homeschooling students and parents. For thirteen years, she has taught numerous students and courses in the homeschooling community, and helped many families navigate home education. She loves putting together transcripts and supporting documents for students to help them showcase the breadth and depth of their education and has happily witnessed many, many students launch onto their chosen paths.
